What happened to the 2-D, side-scrolling, FUN family games? Read about FROGATTO - a really cute new game everyone can play. PLUS a picture book that helps dyslectic kids and their parents.. All here: http://hookkidsonreading.blogspot.com/

Anna - I love it. After 2 hrs of sleep last night (thank you sick 2 yr old), I found myself struggling with really wanting to write and really needing to take a nap while my 2 yr old slept before the older boys came home. Sleep won, but I was depressed that I missed my writing time!

Anna, I love your definition of what a writer is!

Wonderful point @Anna! It's very hard juggling the creativity (which I can't always turn on like a spigot) and being a SAHM. Funny how the truly creative spurts of time always intercept with a glass of spilt milk or other toddler "accidents of nature!"

I think what makes a true writer is the fact that, "NOT writing is not an option! " We write because it is in our genes, and a part of our heart and soul. I always wrote "stuff." However, it wasn't until my kids were grown that I had the time to sit and really work at it in a professional way. I regret this late start, and envy those who can write between diaper changes, kid fights, outside jobs or doing laundry. For me, chaos and writing do not mix.

Good point, Yang Mommy, writer/ actress/ cook all have the same issues with validation.

@ Stefanie: Very interesting takes on what people consider a "writer" is. For example, the old saying that "True Writers Write Every Day." Um, just because I don't write everyday (either my stories, journaling or even an email!) doesn't make me not a writer. I feel like I'm a writer who's still looking for her big break! Maybe I should have taken up acting, LOL!
