Oh, and I'm glad your children are doing okay. I'm thinking I may have to go to college with mine when they go! Then again, another day like today, and I'll be helping them pack!!! :-) I forgot to mention my son has asked me every day since we brought Katherine home from the hospital if I can just find someone to pick him up half day! Every day...his little eyes plead with me as he heads off with his grandmother to go to school. Ugh! He also gets up during the night and comes in to hug me at least once a night! It's sweet but....

We must be sharing mental thoughts this morning, Debbie, because I just blogged about your blog on one of my blogs! I'm having other kids issues as well so have not had a moment to "advertise" it (two called with stomach aches but seem pretty okay now that they are home. One confessed (13) that she sampled the Baker's Clay in her Creative Science class, The other one (10) I'm pretty sure is just tired but she can afford to miss a day here and there).

Anyway, I posted about your blog on: http://beyondthelastpage.blogspot.com/ because of the great resources you post about!!!

Linda, it's amaing how well she's doing so far. I'll be praying for a miracle, too! After my son's sickness last week, we dealt with my oldest daughter's illness over the weekend. She also has Type 1 Diabetes, but she's 1250 miles away in Mississippi. Her first bad illness since leaving for college. It was nervewracking, but she came through with amazing support from her friends.

Debbie! I just read the posts about your son. I'm so glad he is okay. I am certainly not liking the illnesses and issues I am seeing going around these days! It's just plain nuts that it all seems to be bursting forth. My daughter is doing remarkably well. She gets physically and mentally fatiqued really easily but, if you didn't know her, you would not know anything ever happened! She goes back on Dec. 17 for another CT Scan and Dr. prognosis. He's thinking surgery in January to remove the AVM from the brain. I'd personally like to see a miracle and the scan show it GONE! I'm trying to post updates on my blog. I posted the latest along with a story she wrote a little while back: http://writersshelflife.blogspot.com/2010/12/katherines-journey.html. It's an amazing story...especially since it was written when she was an early 15!

If you write fiction, you'll discover little pieces of yourself studded throughout your stories. It got me thinking about how our stories are almost like time capsules. http://bit.ly/gJquQr

Have any of you ever thought about earning money doing copywriting? There's a free webinar coming up that explains it, and I've researched some great resources to help beginning copywriters. http://bit.ly/hJv6Z0

Oh wow. Now I can really understand why you and your doctor wanted to treat your child at home, unless it was a desperate emergency. Good or you, mate. Hug than munchkin from me.

With two diabetic kids, we've been fortunate to steer clear of hospitals for 15 years. Two years ago two different friends brought kids to the hospital with severe strep. One died, and the other nearly did, because they contracted MSRA infections while in the hospital. So scary.
