Well, in a moment of insanity, I submitted a satire first paragraph to Nathan Bransford's contest. I'll be blacklisted for sure......http://kimberlymoore.wordpress.com/

Hi ladies!  I've been busy working on queries and my book (which also translates to keeping my head up out of the sand when I don't get a "yes, we love your writing!").  So I haven't blogged in a long time.

But when I read about a 3 year old being suspended from school because of potty accidents, I just had to voice my concern!  Please check out my newest blog at http://yinyangmommy.wordpress.com. What do you think?

Peace and good fortune with writing! :)

Hey guys, I know it has been a while.

It has been really REALLY hard for me to get my momentum back after being sick and dealing with family stuff.  But I am back and also doing the Blog Shape Up.  So please stop by Killing Superwoman and comment on my new posts if you can.

@Mayra, congrats on updating the Voice.

Karen, I agree with you about children's books with a "message." The message needs to be clear and not preachy. Unfortunately, today's publisher seems to want more than just a fun story for kids to enjoy. I think that's a pity. Sometimes it takes sheer fun to HOOK a reluctant reader. Reluctant readers can smell a "message" a mile away!! Why not have both kinds of books? And there is no reason why message stories can's also be fun and entertaining.

"Taconi and Claude - Double Trouble," my mid-grade boy's adventure set in the Aussie outback has gone through its galley phase, and should be available momentarily. A TRAILER + fun CLUES to the story can be found here - http://www.margotfinke.com

PS - My hip surgery went better than expected. I might just live after all!!
