@Debbie Thank you! I wish my best writing weren't pulled from such painful emotional places, but oh well. We generally stay in Castle Rock each summer although we are in south Denver this year. My husband runs the Renaissance Festival here.

Meagan, what a beautiful post! I'd definitely love to see your book-writing, because you have a lovely voice. And using your writer's block to good use is a great example.

Where do you vacation in Colorado? I live in the mountains.

New theory about writer's block. It's really an emotional release needing to happen. I wrote through my block this morning...commentary on my fragile relationship with my dad. You can see it HERE Now to book-writing...

Quick comment...been waaaaay too busy. Most of you know I hurt my back. It's better but put me behind on just about everything. Tomorrow we are hosting a virtual release party for Jaimey Grant/Laura Miller at so make sure to stop by. The MBC Mom book is still a go...just been pushed down the line a tiny bit because I want it to be my project. I'm anxious to get a few more things under my belt so I can jump back in to reading everyones' blogs. I've missed them!
