Oh dear Debbie.... We would all pray for both your dads.....

My dad is going through heart problems, too. Blocked arteries, and a heartbeat that is way to slow (38 beats per minute), complicated by a brain tumor. I'll pray for him.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I really hope he is going to be okay. I didn't know he was sick until I just read your post below. Will say some healing prayers on his behalf. xoxoxo

Thank you so much, Jillian, for your kind and super insightful comments on my Dragon essay. You are such a sweetheart!! And thank you also for forming this wonderful group and giving us all a chance to form such great friendships here with other writers. I really appreciate this group and all the wonderful people I've met through it!

Hope you are having a great week, Jillian!

@Swati: wow that IS lucky...and I know what you are going throug..I heard the same thing about my grandfather(who is kindda young coz they marry waay too early) and there was the whole debate on whether to do a bypass or not...well ask your dad to just rest and follow all doctor's instructions. I hope he gets well...
I do hope he manages it well...and take care and be strong...

Thanks Aysha - he had clogged arteries and we didn't know it. He went in to see his doc because he was short of breath while sitting on his sofa - we are so lucky that he went in and they figured it out before anything happened!

Hello all! I am the author of Goony Goo-Goo and Ga-Ga Too, an exciting new children's book. I have met a lot of moms who are interested in self-publishing but don't know how to get started. If you have any questions, I'd love to help! Just drop me a line! Look forward to talking to you! Kia

oh, not discouraged at all. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share! I imagine there are many many rejections in my future, and I'm totally ok with that :-)

Alysia, all I can say is don't put all of your eggs in one basket. There are so many other websites out there.

As we have all been discussing in our group, rejection letters are the norm. At the Aspen Writer's Conference one of the top writer's, of course I can't remember who at the moment, said that it was his goal to paper his bathroom with rejection letters before he was successful. I say that's a great goal!

Don't give up!

Too bad about Chicken Soup. It was worth a try. How about Cup of Comfort? Or is there a national autism group that might publish people's stories?
