Linda, I think that's a great idea. I personally always need a deadline, and lately my blog has taken over and my fiction has been put on the back burner. It'd be great to get inspired to do more than talk about my life with my girls.

After reading Swati's post I've been doing some thinking...This may be going out on a limb but are there any of us who would be interested in doing a collection of short stories and poems with the "mom" theme...since we are a part of the aspiring writers group on mombloggersclub??? Since I publish, I would be happy to spearhead the whole thing? Comments???? Do I need to start this in a discussion instead?

Swati I was only going to glance at your post but was quickly absorbed in it...I was half way done and my kids were pestering me for dinner then I heard the garage door grinding up....oooooh, husband home...had to postpone the reading but I'm headed back immediately to finish. It is longer than I usually like to read for a blog post but it reads so like a short story with great flow. I post a lot of short stories on my writers blog (http://writersshelflife.blogspot.com) though try to keep the posts much shorter on our marketing blog and our http://treasurelinebooks.blogspot.com. I LOVE the memory you shared on Coffee & A Copy! I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. HOW SWEET!

Hi Ladies:

I did a post about dating as a single mom and it's longer than my usual postings; I am curious to hear fi you think it goes on too long - http://tinyurl.com/2ae23dk
I've been kind of in and out lately for two reasons: 1) utter grumpiness about writing! 2) I did receive some feedback about my proposal and am working like a DOG to get it all in and send it back to the woman who gave me input...however, I am managing to keep up with anyone who leaves me a comment...I'm off now to look at your blogs...happy writing!

I would love to have each and every one of you check out my current blog post.

The Big Pink Ribbon will go a long way to raising awareness for breast cancer. This proposal that was put before the UN by photographer Asa Mathat is mind blowing! If you know of anyone who is a survivor who would like to be a part of the project my blog tells you how to get in touch with with Asa to do that.
Thanks again ladies and happy blogging!

The latest writing venture...a new blog where we can talk about other authors as well as offer great give-aways: http://treasurelinebooks.blogspot.com. I've had to put my own writing on hold but seeing the dreams of other authors come true is making it all worthwhile

Its been a hectic couple of weeks, but here is my latest post. It just shows how even the most important things can fall to the wayside when you are just living. http://killsuperwoman.blogspot.com
