Hi All!
I have 2 happy bits of news I'd love to share with you. First, I made it to the top 5 of the MILbloggie awards, which put me through to the voting stage. Second, I was recently offered a position as a weekly columnist with Blue Star Families (it's an organization for military family). Shauni, check the web for a list of illustrators for your book. In this economy you are bound to find one for cheap. I have done the self publishing thing and would highly encourage it. I used create space and was very satisfied with them. You can check out all my books as slide shows on my site at http://www.jazzyseries.com

Welcome Alexandra, I'm sure that your youngest got his brains from you, right?

Judging from your last post, we are lucky to have such a fun loving new member and I look forward to reading more stories about you and your family. Thank you, BTW, for subscribing to my blog.

To let us all get acquainted better with you, we hope that you and Terry and other new members of the group send us a link to your favorite posts.

Today, I am recovering from the shock of transitioning from beach to a foot of snow and hibernating in my office to write and visit all of your blogs.

Peryl, I have signed in before to your paper but will gladly do it again so that I can keep up with your wonderful writing. Also, I know a wonderful woman in our valley who has an organization for abused children and I have been trying for months now to get her to write a post on my blog about it. Thank you for reminding me to contact her again.

Heather, I will be sure to nominate you for the same reasons that Meagan mentioned.

Beth, I too appreciated what you said about catering to different writing styles. I find it sooo difficult to stay focused when I am trying to freelance, build a writing business and remain true to my blog. At some point, something has to go and I'm afraid it will be my blog.

Hey Ladies - April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month - and I posted today about an amazing organization in Seattle that works to end the cycle of child abuse. I was wondering if you might all be kind enough to check out my post (http://blog.seattlepi.com/parentingadabsurdum/), and also if you would consider putting a similar post up sometime this month, highlighting this or another organization in your own area. Calling attention to some of the incredible organizations that help abused and neglected children is a good way to show people how to take a positive step in the fight against child abuse, which I know is a cause close to all of our hearts - and together, we are a powerful force of blogging action!!

Thanks for giving this some thought - Meagan, I'm off to check out your blog, and Heather, I'll be right over to nominate you!

Hello all,
Back from the cabin. Great place to send the kids outside so I can write from the desk by our window. It was inspirational and I got a lot accomplished for the outlining of my book. I have posted my writing exercise for the day at my blog: What the Blog is Going on Around Here?

Hello! Just joined Mom Bloggers Club a couple days ago and am still finding my way around and checking out the many amazing blogs. When I found this group, I had to join. Have you guys seen this site http://www.literarymama.com/? I just found it the other day and am really into it. If it's already been shared here, sorry for the repeat!!
