Peryl, as I have said this before, you are an excellent and funny writer and I appreciate your humorous and informative posts.

Thank you Peryl and Swati for your comments on my post. Swati, it has been very difficult for me to understand the difference between writing on a blog and writing a book. Your comment helped me because I often wonder if I am digging deep enough.

As for visiting all of your sites, it is my intention to start waking up early again so that I have the time to really indulge myself and get more familiar with all of your writing.

In the meantime, good luck with getting anything done with spring break around the corner!!

Hi, I'm new here and wondering if anyone would mind having a look at my blog "Peanut Butter Smudges" and tell me what you think. I am working on balancing my roles as aspiring author and managing my kids, so I am attempting to use the blog to organize my thoughts, practice small posts frequently before getting back to my book. I've heard that blogging regularly helps get the juices flowing better to get into the book writing. Here's a link to my favourite post, but feel free to look around and leave any constructive feedback on any of my blog posts...thanks!

Jill, I just read your post - so good, so emotional!

And Richele, yep, I'm pretty sure we're kin ;).

Swati - finally got to your post and left a comment. Loved it - very important to take advantage of when the kids actually WANT to talk to you :).

Jill - your post is really, really well written; I think it's powerful in the emotion it conveys because you stayed away from saying too much about each incident, (which would have been easy) and just let the words you did choose sink in with the reader.
Great read - Swati

Hi Meagan - thanks for reading it! and I;m glad to hear I'm not the only one :-). I liked your post about walking behind your son as he rides his bike - especially how you ended it!

Swati,
I liked your "Open Door Policy Gone Bad) and I have the same policy in my house. I have had to revisit and revamp the policy as my kids have gotten older, but it is ALL about effective communication, right?
I have a couple blogs: http://choosingtogrow-whattheblog.blogspot.com/ is my fun one and http://choosingtogrow.blogspot.com/ is the one that stays focused on the topic of a book I've proposed. I am dabbling with the idea to dive into a fiction project I've stuffed in a file for a while.
