Yang Mommy,
30 of them have said nothing to me either :-)!

Lori - I will look it up - sounds like a powerful memoir. I'd love to know how long it took you to complete it and if you had a professional editor?

Patricia: You took me back to my days at NC State! (And my lost southern drawl).

I'd love to be feeling SEAPODish, but heck, just getting ANY sort of communication back has been a challenge. Maybe I'm not aggressive enough, who knows :)

Patricia, it truly is a small world!

I commented on your post, not realizing that was you. One of the women who owns that website, and lives in my valley, just met with me a few days ago and I became a subscriber.

Anyway, I made a comment for you over there, and I did love your post!

SEAPODS is perfect - I feel all of those - last week was particularly S&D - LOL!
But I'm brushing myself, still grumpy though!

Richele, ditto about Swati.

Joeypouch, so glad that you didn't perish from choking on your biggest pet peeve LOL. As I said in my post, life can be funny sometimes, even if we aren't always laughing.

I think we should design a name for the way we feel when we get those rejection letters; self pity, empowered, angry, exhausted, positive, optimistic, desperate....That's it, we're SEAPODS!

Swati - finally got a chance to look at your story, and I love it. So thoughtful and evocative. Good for you! You're inspiring me to get going on my own :). Though you seem to get a lot more done than I can possibly imagine ever doing. Oh well, it's good for me to aspire :).

Loving this group, by the way. Great writers, great support.

Swati - write the next part, please.
Jillian, I have had similar experiences. I always take the silent moral high ground, i notice wrongdoings and say nothing to said offenders - yet everyone else points out my innocent mistakes against the world. I can't stand people that drop/spit their gum on the street - it drives me mad. I see it and I just make a mental note of how vile it is and how I will never do such a thing, littering the world in such an idle, crass way. So, the other day when I had a coughing fit in the middle of the city centre and spat out my gum for fear that i would choke and obviously die - i get a tut and a 'gross' comment. Sigh.
