Hi Everyone!
I'd like to call myself a writer, but I feel I have a long way to go. I wrote a children's book several years ago and tried unsuccessfully to get it published. After shelving it for a few years, I'm now revisiting and revising. I also have 2 novels completely my head. With 2 young kids running around and a husband in the military, it's tough to find the time, energy, and motivation to write. That's kind of why I started blogging, to get myself into the habit of writing every day. Anyway, check me out if you get a chance!

Thanks, Heather

Hi Tina: I enjoyed your recent post about your book ideas. As I said in my comments, I read an online book proposal in development - kind of what you are doing with posting at the blog. the author is literally writing his proposal before our eyes. I think it was the Secada Project. It's was really interesting to see him develop his characters. Thanks for sharing your blog!

Hello fellow writers and dramatists! I would love to one day publish many books, and one that's really amazing. I work full time in a call center so my mind gets to wonder and day dream quite often. I have started a writing blog where I am just housing some ideas: "Mindless Conversations to Myself" - that's the name of my blog. I don't have any subscribers, I am secretly hoping to never have any (kidding). I can't wait to see what other folks are writing about!

Hi everyone! I've submitted 5 posts to my new blog so far, and it's going well. My topic is getting kids & families out in nature. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where to submit articles to (online and off). I've been researching a LOT and there are just SO many choices out there (online non-paid, online little-paid, national mags etc). Based on your experiences, I was hoping to get some good leads on where to go from here. I'm organizing my research in a book, but have read so much about getting published first that I thought that would be the way to go. Please let me know your thoughts. I'd really appreciate it.

Please check out my blog if you have a chance!

Thanks so much for the heads up. I think I have fixed the problem. Would love for you to post again when you have time. I have a lot of kinks to work out on my layout - i just wish I were more techno savvy.

Thanks so much - Beth

So looking forward to your upcoming post on your success!

I would love to, Jillian! I will write a post and link to it here on the forum. Probably this coming week after I have officially accepted my new agent. Thanks so much for your interest in my story. You all are too sweet!

It seems as though many of us would love to hear more about the details of your road to success.

Would you be interested in writing a post on it and giving us your link? or you could start a discussion on "being published" up above and our members could follow up with more directed questions.

Swati, wonderful article. Anyone who has children and wants to know how talk with them effectively about emotional issues should read this one. I guess that would probably be all of us on MBC! Thanks for sharing, Swati!

Beth, it seems like there is something wrong with your word verification thingy on your blog and I can't seem to leave a comment on your latest post. I've tried 4 times now to post a comment without success. Here is the comment I wanted to leave: "Wow how awesome!! It's so fun when the amazing people we know get recognized and wow! Oprah is the greatest. Congrats to your friend." Feel free to post it in my name if you want. Of course, I will also try again later. There is always plenty of human error where I am concerned.
