You crack me up, Richele. I totally love you. Meanwhile, I wish I could think of something useful to say that wouldn't be like 25 paragraphs long. I guess the best I can come up with is that finding an agent is like a full time job while you are doing it. But the end result is so amazing and unbelievable when it happens. For months I've felt like I was writing emails into a black hole. And then I had an agent who seemed like she loved me and was so close to choosing me, but did not. I was totally crushed. But when I got up from crying in a puddle on the floor, I decided to just up my work level and send to more agents than ever. And kapow, all of a sudden I had a frenzy of response. It's been a dream come true. I am so blessed and grateful. Please feel free to contact me directly at my email if you want to chat about anything agent-related at all. I am happy to help if I can be useful at all.

Beth: I couldn't agree more with your synopsis on LOST!! I'm exhausted trying to follow it!

Peryl: What a sweet post about your son; that;s the precious thing about kids that age - they are so sweet and loving. I had trouble signing in to comment - will try again later.

Thanks so much, Chris!! I don't know if I have any pearls... It's been a challenging process, esp. with young kids in the house and not a lot of time to do anything. But if you are interested in talking specifics about how to land an agent, I would be thrilled to chat with you. Please feel free to email me and I'm so happy to help. That's so exciting that you are gearing up to get into the non-fiction world. What kind of book are you writing?? I would love to hear more about it.
