Vivianne, I think your writing is amazing, not awkward. But writing courses are fun! And I'm sure it will be a blast. No worries about going MIA (though I didn't notice you had). Everyone is super busy during the holidays. Enjoy yourself and your family. BTW your last two posts were incredibly moving.

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been MIA here but with the craziness of work, birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries.... Get my drift? Jillian- I just read the winning post on the Half Drunk Challenge and it was really fantastic. Edgy, and heartfelt. Flowed very nicely. A great example for us to be inspired by. Thank you for pointing it out.

In fact- I have been so inspired by everyone here and their efforts, I decided to enroll in a writing course at Rutgers! Sometimes I feel my writing is awkward and I'm hoping this will help give me the confidence to keep going with my book endeavor. I have been faithfully reading and commenting on everyone's posts and if I left anyone out please let me know.

Happy Sunday evening everyone,

I had a wonderfully festive weekend which included coming home late night and writing a few posts for the Half Drunk Challenge. It was a great exercise in letting go on your writing on an uncomfortable topic . The stories are well written and fun. Check it out

Swati, I went back and read your revised article and I enjoyed having the image of the two of you drawing for each other.

I have found that writing is like my yoga practice, each week I am concentrating on different elements helping to make my writing stronger. One week its strengthening character development, the next its adding conversation, the next its description...perfecting writing is a life long ambition.

I look forward to revisiting all of your sites this week!

Hi Ladies!

Jill- as you know, I really enjoyed my recent visit to your blog house. This is a wonderful group you've started here. So glad to be a part of it.

Swati, thanks so much for the kind comments! Just came back from reading your post- How I Changed My Attitude About Exercise and Healthy Eating- Isn't it amazing how life forces you to take care of yourself and in the end rewards you with awesome personal results? I really enjoyed it (but now feel guilty about not working out lately (-:) So thank you again for reminding me of how much better I will feel once I get back on track!
