Megan, just write about your emotional journey from your heart.  Don't worry about anything except putting it all down in words that will help you come to terms with what happened, and maybe, just maybe, help others who went through similar experiences.

When you finish, contact me, and I will help in any way I can.

I have recently began to write about our journey of the past 18 months.  When I was expecting my second daughter Piper, she suffered a stroke.  I have had to pick up the pieces of our beautiful life, and create something even more beautiful in its place.  I would be interested if you think I have what it takes to write this inspirational story into a book.

April, sounds like the book will be a great read for teens and inspiring. Fiction or nonfiction, meaning is it going to be about a character the reader will want to know and love or will it be more factual about how you personally dealt with issues and a reliable resource index? Once you decide on your path and develop your character outline or nonfiction outline your writing will fall into place. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Hi April Nicole,

You might take a look at this free ebook by one of my authors called Finding Your Own Inner Strength: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/16927

I'm beyond super busy today but that might be a good place for you to start.  Lori's other book is a great memoir as well: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/17014?ref=TreasureLineBooks (though not free as is the other book)

Hey all - My article "The Stay at Home Mother and Her Brain" is featured today at mamazina magazine: http://museumofmotherhood.wordpress.com/2011/03/23/mamablogger365-t... - if you get a second to check it out and leave a comment, I'll be eternally grateful and return the favor immediately! Also, if any of you are interested in submitting, I think they are still accepting articles for their museum of motherhood project. Thanks all!!

A couple of weeks ago I met a wonderful 12 year old girl. Incredible and had already been through so much in her life. Long story short her mom gave her up to her dad (she is aware & was told her mom gave up on her) and then her stepmom beat her. Now she does suffer from anxiety so clearly she has had some pretty big hits in her life. I have found that she wasn't the only one that had or is currently going thru this be use her friends are going thru the same things.

Here is where I need some brainstorming, inspiring ideas please. I am writing a book based on my own mental, emotional & sexual abuse as a child. I was writing it for adults but I am being called more to the teen age audience. To give them coping skills, to help them through it and show them it doesn't have to ruin your life. I am kinda stuck on the direction of chapters or content. Any ideas?? I know the words will start to flow when I am inspired the right way. Can you please leave a comment with your thoughts? Support? Email me if you want.
I have already made a dedication to her at the beginning of my book.

Thank you so much
April Nicole
