Megan,

Margot's right - just write.

I almost lost my firstborn when she was 9 days old. After several days in the hospital, I was told she was back in the world of the living.

Sharing your story can help others cope and have hope.

Great info for writers, @Stefanie and @ Debra!!

I've been busy getting my book to give me the reigns back.  It took over my blog the other day, and wrote its own post!

Hi Ladies,

April is coming up and I'm looking for submissions for The Things Kids Say for Houston Parents Magazine, an quickly growing online resource for parents in the Houston area.  We are currently getting almost 4000 hits a month and will compensate published submissions with a byline and link.  You can look at the website at http://HoustonParentsMagazine.com or email submissions directly to editor@HoustonParentsMagazine.com.

I hope to hear from you!

Peryl, terrific article on the MOM blog--truly!!

And what a great idea in and of itself--finally, a museum that will somehow honor all the work moms around the world do, and what we sacrifice!

Megan, just write about your emotional journey from your heart.  Don't worry about anything except putting it all down in words that will help you come to terms with what happened, and maybe, just maybe, help others who went through similar experiences.

When you finish, contact me, and I will help in any way I can.

I have recently began to write about our journey of the past 18 months.  When I was expecting my second daughter Piper, she suffered a stroke.  I have had to pick up the pieces of our beautiful life, and create something even more beautiful in its place.  I would be interested if you think I have what it takes to write this inspirational story into a book.

April, sounds like the book will be a great read for teens and inspiring. Fiction or nonfiction, meaning is it going to be about a character the reader will want to know and love or will it be more factual about how you personally dealt with issues and a reliable resource index? Once you decide on your path and develop your character outline or nonfiction outline your writing will fall into place. Good luck. Keep us posted.
