Margot, I'm anxious to check out your links and thanks to everyone for the well wishes for my daughter's recovery.  She is astounding everyone with her progress...to which we are very thankful!

Karen, the Purple Crayon is run and owned by Harold Underdown, one of the most respected and talented editors of books for children. My MUSINGS column is just one of a host of different articles on everything to do with writing, publishing, agents and promoting your book.  It is one of the best resources on the Internet.

Thanks Terri.  She has developed a slight fever in the last couple of hours but they say that isn't uncommon in the 24-48 hour period after surgery.  We are believing they will get her all regulated soon and we can continue on the calm waters!

Linda, that is fabulous news. Blessings for continued healing.

My daughter had the surgery yesterday to remove the AVM from her brain.  She is doing so well that they have already moved her from PICU to the teen pediatrics floor.  She is getting up, walking, talking, eating (just jello and orange juice but at least something).  It doesn't appear she has any impairments and other than safeguarding against infection while the wound heals, it appears to be smooth sailing.  Thanks to all for well wishes and prayers along the way.
