My daughter had the surgery yesterday to remove the AVM from her brain.  She is doing so well that they have already moved her from PICU to the teen pediatrics floor.  She is getting up, walking, talking, eating (just jello and orange juice but at least something).  It doesn't appear she has any impairments and other than safeguarding against infection while the wound heals, it appears to be smooth sailing.  Thanks to all for well wishes and prayers along the way.

The craft of writing is not an easy one to learn.  It takes time, patience, and hopefully a few wonderful writers willing to mentor your efforts.  If you would like to find great clues to writing successfully for children, check out the Purple Crayon.  There you wll find a host of terrific advice and places to go for even more information regarding every aspect of writing for children.

Begin with "Musings" - http://www.underdown.org/finke.htm

Then browse the whole site.  You won't regret one moment of the time you spend there soaking up all this site has to offer.

Aspiring moms who write! PERFECT. This is where I need to be.

I love writing, reading and anything and everything funny (I love a good belly laugh). I also love the support and "cheerleading" that writers give to one another. I would love to meet more moms that write.
