I have really just begun blogging seriously through the product review niche and have no concrete ideas on advertising. I have affiliate ads posted (basically to fill space and look somewhat professional) and I also advertise my own site on other blogs through Entrecard, but from there any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
For starters, be sure to mention to companies you work with that you offer advertising. I include that in a wrap up email and have been lucky to connect with some great companies. Set your rates and have some type of rate sheet (I use Google sites and created a "Media Page" with advertiser info) so you have something to send if there is an inquiry. :)
I would like to begin doing product reviews this year. I've applied and been approved via a couple of the review programs, but have yet to be given a product to review. Should I do some reviews just on my own first? Maybe there are some good places to start? Any advice/suggestions appreciated!!
YES! It took a few months for me to get products. Find things you already love and review them first. This way you'll have a reference point for potential companies to look at. It takes some time so be patient, but it's worth the wait!
