I had a google page rank of 2 until I went to my own domain. At that time it went to zero. It's been months and it is still a zero.  I don't think it has to do with me or writing. I think it's something technical. Can anyone help? Too many companies and PR people look at page rank.

I have the same problem.  I switched to my own domain in August and have had a 0 page rank ever since then.  Apparently, they have not been updated at all since April 2010, which I found through this post:  http://thattechchick.com/google-pagerank-update/

Do a quick ping to tell search engines that you've updated your blog. An easy to use ping service is:

Also, if your old URL had already registered a page rank, keep that one as your blog's address and use your new domain name as a pointer to your blog.

For example: my blog is: http://drachma-girl.blogspot.com   but if I buy www.drachma-girl.com as my own domain, I can use it to redirect & point to my blogspot blog.

Thank way you'll keep your page rank, and have use of your own domain too!

Yikes. I've been toying with the idea of getting my own domain. My PR just went up to 2 from 1, in the last few days. I think I'll wait!
