Thank you for joining the MBC Book Club! It is so great to have you join us here. I look forward to our fun open discussions that will be planned, and I definitely look forward to reading your thoughts and reviews each month from your personal blogs.

Don't hesitate to drop me a note if you have any questions!

Monthly Book Club Discussions & Reviews:

1. We begin a new reading on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

2. Participation in a weekly discussion is encouraged, but not mandatory.

3. Weekly discussions will be held beginning the following Wednesday provided we have enough people to hold the discussion. *Still working out the chat location*

4. If you choose to do a review/recap on your personal blog, please submit links to me no later than the 3rd Monday of the following month for inclusion in the MBC post.

5. If you receive a free review copy, you must write a review on your personal blog. Reviews should be posted by the 3rd Monday of the following month for inclusion in the MBC post.

MBC Post: At the close of reading the current book, we ask members to post on their personal blogs a review of the book read. If you receive a free review copy, it is mandatory to do a review. Once you have written your post, please send me a message through MBC with the link to your post. All links will be compiled into a blog post posted on the MBC group which will hopefully drive some additional traffic to your post. We will also tweet and include on Facebook.

Please do not send links through the discussion forum or comment wall here in the group. Send links through a message.

I'm working with some small publishers to hopefully bring in an X amount of review books each month. These review copies with be randomly selected to go out to group members. This will hopefully help with not having to buy every book, every month.

Hi Fellow Book Club Members,

If the goal is to have all of us read the same book and discuss it, I'd love the opportunity to moderate a chat / host a "talk-to-the-author" session here at after the group reads my book, MOMMY I'M STILL IN HERE.

So let's try this...

Follow the link below to get a feel for your interest in the book. Read the comments and reviews left by readers on Amazon, look at the synopsis and decide.

If you're in:
-- reply to this post
-- order the book
-- read away, making sure to jot down questions, comments and references you'd like to bring to the group discussion.

You can even go to my website and print out the Reader's Guide if you like.

On Tuesday, September 7 we will meet here on Momblogger's Club at 7 p.m. PST to discuss the book. I'll begin a discussion and you can add your questions and comments while we're all online.

If you cannot make it to the meeting on September 7th at 7 pm PST, send your questions to me in response to this post or to kate katemclaughlin net, with MOMBLOGGERS BOOK GROUP in the subject line.

I'll start the discussion with those Qs & As.

I've never done anything like this before, so it's kind of exciting--and greatly experimental! Too bad Oprah and Ekhart Tolle aren't available to give me some production pointers!

Here's the link to the book on Amazon:

You can also access information about it on Mombloggers Club Books Marketplace, but will still need to go to Amazon to purchase.

Shall we do it?

Hello from CT!!
Been really trying to get back into reading! I'm going back to my roots as an English major and starting with the classics, but I'm open for suggestions. :-)

If you're ever interested in reading my novel, The Descendants, I'd be happy to chat!

I just joined but I'd like to say that "the second nine month" book is a great and easy read for some humor on parenting! Also, I am interested in Nelson DeMille books, is anyone else?

Can't figure out how to edit my original comment but Nora Roberts, Kristin Hannah, Susan Wiggs and a few more in that vein are favorites... including the woman whose name eludes me now but she wrote the On Blossom Street series... I like fiction that's mostly fairly lighthearted and, sorry, but it has to have a happy ending.

Hi everybody! Just joined but geez Louise y'all read much more heavy stuff than me. I just did Fearless Fourteen (gotta love Stephanie Plum even though the quality is slipping as we get more into the series) and a couple of :: ducking head and rubbing toe in dirt :: Harlequin-type deals. Gotta have an escape and reading always has been mine.

I just finished The Weight of Water. WOW! I had a hard time getting into the book, it's a lot of detail but then it slowly got better and ended perfectly. Now I am on to Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella (my second favorite author).
