I agree with Richele! I felt weird, at first, asking... but, I really do end up reading the blogs I follow back! Blogger makes it so easy to do so. :)

Hi Serene!

I felt a bit strange asking for followers In fact, I'd love one more to give me an even But then again, I love about 600 more too! LOL. Anyway, you get over asking since it's all part of it. There are groups on here that are specific to following blogs. Google Friend Connect is run by a great lady. Friends Following Friends, is a group I am now leading...we allow choice, so you follow who you want to and hopefully you get followed back. Many have seen their numbers go up quickly. Alas..some have not.

I do find that after people follow they are more inclined to come back and read. I have my dashboard lists who I follow so its easier to just click over to the blogs I follow. Since I am on other people's dashboard, I am more likely to be read. However, I have far more followers than but, I think we are all more inclined to support the blogs we follow. Just keep in mind so many of us follow 100s of it's hard to keep up.

Followers gain you readers but it also gains you credibility and the promise of exposure if you are ever interested in doing reviews or gaining blog sponsorships.

I do read the blogs I follow...not all..I will admit because I follow almost 400 blogs. Being the leader of Friends Following Friends, I follow ALL new members. But sadly, I do not have the time to read them all. No one does. So I have divised a little plan to get us all commenting more on each other's blogs.

Okay, so I have a question.

I am so impressed that you guys aren't afraid to ask for readers or followers. I suppose that is how you spread your name in the blogging world! I'm too chicken. LOL!
And while I think everyone loves to see more followers, do you find that after people join they come back to read and comment?
Or are they just another face of the "follower box"?
Do you guys actually read the blogs that you follow?

I'm just curious to see how people use the follower gadget.

Good Morning everyone . . . I am in the process of trying to get some sponsorship for my blog and I was informed I have to get at least 50 followers in order to qualify... if you don't mind hopping over and following ... I would greatly appreciate it
