Thanks Tonya! I've also heard people say they can organize the blogs in the reader too. Like "favorite blogs" or, "when I have time to get to them blogs".
Maybe I should investigate more. I am somewhat technologically challenged though. hehe

Serene..I returned the favor..I'm following you! Actually, I would have followed you anyway...but often we never get to see a blog unless the writer promotes it by asking for someone to read her post or see a new header or even follow.

By the way, I LOVE your header! Way too cute!

I've never subscribed to a blog either and honestly, I don't know how to use google reader. I have just heard quite a few people say they prefer to follow blogs that way.

There Richele, I topped you off at an even 400! LOL!
I'll go check you other girls out too!

Accidental Baby Maker, I am following you too!

Serene, I don't usually ask for followers because I am shy about it too. But I try to follow people who follow me and I always read their posts and I tend to get a good amount of comments. It's a great community of friends and I am thankful for the encouragement, the laughter, the camaraderie and the ideas!

Even within my own group..I do not subscribe to blogs. If that is your only way to be followed then I must decline. I get far too many emails to keep up with. I do not have the time for email subscriptions or newsletters.

Google Reader is the a subscription? I prefer the gadget..nothing that emails me or gets lost in a feed.

I don't know if anyone gets hurt or not..I'm sure some do. However, I just point blank said my policy was to ONLY follow by the Google Connect widget...which is the app, right? In my group the widget is the most popular.

I appreciate your thoughts. I really do!

I know some people don't like to use the google friends app. but prefer to follow them in google reader. Sometimes I wonder if people get hurt when they follow me but I don't follow them back with the follower app.

Do you find that people get like that or are they usually pretty cool about it all?

I agree with Richele! I felt weird, at first, asking... but, I really do end up reading the blogs I follow back! Blogger makes it so easy to do so. :)

Hi Serene!

I felt a bit strange asking for followers In fact, I'd love one more to give me an even But then again, I love about 600 more too! LOL. Anyway, you get over asking since it's all part of it. There are groups on here that are specific to following blogs. Google Friend Connect is run by a great lady. Friends Following Friends, is a group I am now leading...we allow choice, so you follow who you want to and hopefully you get followed back. Many have seen their numbers go up quickly. Alas..some have not.

I do find that after people follow they are more inclined to come back and read. I have my dashboard lists who I follow so its easier to just click over to the blogs I follow. Since I am on other people's dashboard, I am more likely to be read. However, I have far more followers than but, I think we are all more inclined to support the blogs we follow. Just keep in mind so many of us follow 100s of it's hard to keep up.

Followers gain you readers but it also gains you credibility and the promise of exposure if you are ever interested in doing reviews or gaining blog sponsorships.

I do read the blogs I follow...not all..I will admit because I follow almost 400 blogs. Being the leader of Friends Following Friends, I follow ALL new members. But sadly, I do not have the time to read them all. No one does. So I have divised a little plan to get us all commenting more on each other's blogs.
