Hi, fellow mother students!

I'm going to be graduating at the end of next academic year- going to school part time while taking care of my twin girls (16 months).

Check me out!

You can get more grants as a non-traditional student than you could when you first got out of high school. I have about 90% of my fees covered. You need to fill out the FAFSA online and apply for grants that way. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ Be careful, there's a spammer fafsa webpage that is similar so you want to only go to the one with .gov at the end. Your school's financial aid office can answer questions too. I am so new at this but the secont attempt worked out wonderfully.

Yes, I just finished an online course, but I'm really nervous about the expectations and time commitment

Hello Heidi! I checked out your blog. I agree distance learning is challenging. I'm looking forward to actually being in class this fall too. I couldn't find the "follow" button on your blog. It may have just been that my page didn't load all the way. I'll check again.

Hello! This group is a great idea! Last year I decided to finally get my college education in my late 20's and it has been quite the juggling act as I'm sure other moms on here will agree! My blog is called TextbookMommy (http://textbookmommy.blogspot.com/) if you are interested and I look forward to meeting all of you! :)
