Sharon, it looks like you had a great Halloween. Yolie, I can't figure it out either, but your hats turned out cute. I have a new page where I am putting classroom treats. Anyone have any good treat ideas for kids to take to school? http://www.mom-stuff.com/public/367.cfm

I recently did a blog post to show the hats I made with my manual knitting machine. Got some good tips, but I am having a difficult time learning how to use this to knit flat panels. Do any of you crafty moms also have this machine? Can you offer me some tips and help with making the flat panels? The instructions that came with this are not very good.

Daylight Saving Ends This Weekend: 11/7

Daylight Saving Ends This Weekend: Oh My!
Yes it's a scary time especially for all our families with morning larks but GREAT for our moms and dads with older kids. Well, this comes and goes twice a year and we all manage to get through it and we will yet again. So here's a tip to a smooth transition. Change your clock... back one hour. First day, inevitably most of us will be getting up an hour earlier and subsequent naps will be an hour earlier as well. After the first day you will then add 15 minutes to all nap times each day or every other day until this schedule normalizes. Keep the bedtime early if naps are short.
