Hi, ladies! I'm new to the going green group. Me and my family are learning and doing more to be more eco-friendly. I can't wait to learn from you all!

I went green with my cleaning supplies about a year ago and will never go back. I tried the store brands, but they charged me for water and packaging. Now I use Shaklee's Get Clean line and love it! Check out my website at http://www.shaklee.net/mccartney, and try them for yourself. You will save money, the planet and the health of your family! I 100% guarantee the products or your money back, even if you use the whole product! Try that at the grocery store!

After all the talk of reusable water bottles, hopefully this one will be interesting and simplify your choices: http://fairandgreen.blogspot.com/2009/05/getting-drink-such-challenge.html

Hi all,
Just joined MBC on Friday and joining the group today! I am so conscious of conserving resources, recycling and getting cleaning products that are less toxic. Really appreciate any tips you may have!

Just picked up some alba botonica mineral sunscreen on sale at Whole Foods. Anybody used this before? This will be the first summer that I seek a more body friendly sunscreen. This one uses titanium dioxide as the active ingredient.

Don't let the fact that Earth Day is behind us and school is winding down deter you from your good REUSING habits you have worked so hard to achieve. Summer offers just as many opportunities if not more to be waste-free and REUSE! As you head off to summer camp, the beach, picnics, and pool parties don't forget your Kids Konserve waste-free products; stainless steel beverage bottles, reusable stainless steel containers, and Kids Konserve Party Paks!! Yes, it may be easy to pull out a plastic baggie when we are in a rush, but here is a better solution - Kids Konserve products!

Lets honor our Earth all summer long and become conscious not to contribute to our landfills and even worse the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

GIVEAWAY: Go to www.kidskonserve.com and click on the Blog.

Here's to summer!

I have totally changed my household over to green products. All my laundry supplies, medicine cabinet, personal hygiene, cleaners, beauty products and health products are not toxin free. Boy, it has so changed our life. My son had eczema in the bends of his legs for the first 4 years of his life and nothing worked. When I changed products and started using this awesome lotion his eczema went away and has not shown its ugly head in 2 years. I was concerned that if I used the green products that I would not have effective cleaners but wow was I wrong. The boys drew on theirselves with permanent marker one night and I used one of the cleaners I have full strength right on their skin and it came right off and DIDNT harm their skin. WOW I was amazed. We just dont realize sometimes how detrimental the things we buy at the store are to our health. I am sold. If anyone is interested in the store that I found check out http://www.bringingwellnesshome.com/vemessacar
