Jillian...GREAT question!

Not all blogs make "email" an option for sending RSS feeds (new blog updates) to their subscribers. I utilize Google Reader (b/c there is a plug in on Blogger) to follow everyone and I have a page of updates every day of my favorite blogs--and there are many that I follow. It just helps me keep it more organized for me to read when I have the time.

This is getting a little confusing, I'm not sure who is following. Some followers have links to their blogs and others don't. It seems to work best if you leave a comment on a post, so that you can click directly to the author's page or site.

Here is my uneducated big question. What does it mean to follow someone? I don't seem to get emails when the people I follow have written a blog. It seems more effective to subscribe directly to their site. Am I missing something? Jillian
