I am starting to consider seriously the idea of a gluten free diet and am wondering where to start. You all seem so knowledgeable and I am wondering if any of you have good tips or resources for a newbie!

Kathy, To set yourself up for success, develop a plan and pick a start date. Jumping in with both feet before having everything in place will lead to stress, frustration and potentially giving up. So, a good place to start is to familiarize yourself with the list of ingredients that contain gluten and then purge your pantry, fridge, and freezer of all the foods that contain gluten. Donate the non-perishable items to a food bank. The next is to learn all about cross contamination issues and then set your kitchen to eliminate this issue.
