i enjoy living and feeling green. i love finding new ways to conserve, and finding great vegan/organic products to use. we are not a vegan or vegetarian household in terms of our eating habits, but we do eat at least 80% organic. organic foods can be pricey, and one income does not afford weekly trips to Whole Foods. i joined a volunteer organization in town, and we plant trees and bushes at various parks and schools. it has been a great way to give back, and teach my son some valuable lessons and skills. our next venture is a composting bin. i look forward to connecting with other green moms.

I have fallen in love with this optimum chia seed because of the protein, fiber, omega-3's, phytonutrients and such in it. I simply add a scoop to my juices and smoothies or sprinkle it over salads or anything else I eat. I have a Mila contest going on until Feb. 28 -- an opportunity to win a bag of Mila that will last for about a month. I hope you'll enter. All good things start with a "seed." ;-) After taking Mila for about 3 months, people have been finding significant improvements with their cholestertol, blood in general. Mila has been helping many to reduce and/or get off of medications...which is marvelous! A far greener world it will be! ;-)

Hi Green Moms! Sasha, re your comment about books we recommend, I highly recommend the e--book -- Eating For Beauty, Health & Pleasure: A Raw Food Quick-Start Pr... by Shannon Leone. It's an ideal book for helping anyone to eat more 'green' in a manageable way. You can read a review here.
