I just loaded a free worksheet-style activity for preschoolers: My Leaf Report!  Take your preschooler for a walk, let her choose a leaf, and then talk about the activities on My Leaf Report!  Download it for free at http://WholeChildCreativeCurriculum.blogspot.com!  Includes, science, math (counting), art, communication, and analysis!

A sneak-peek into Horatio Humble Beats the Big D - dyslexia.  My rhyming picture book that encourages kids with reading problems - and a parent/teacher guide for parents.

My REVIEW of Kathy Stemke's PB,  "Trouble on Earth Day," can be found here: http://hookkidsonreading.blogspot.com/

This charming "green" story teaches kids about recycling and reusing - and it's a FUN read too. The great info and games at the back are icing on this yummy cake.

I'm a mom of three, two are strong willed and one is autistic. If that's not enough to make a mama busy, I also coordinate MOPS, write, and blog to encourage moms. Welcome to Carla and her preschooler.

Esther, I also loved Dolphin Tale.  Home schooling your children can be a wonderful experience dor both parent and child.  Congratulations.

PLEASE NOTE:

If any of you think your children would enjoy a simple, short time-travel adventure e-book,  in easy to open and read PDF, I have just the thing FREE.

I put characters from my 3 latest books into a fun adventure. Two of them must help Taconi and Claude find their way back to the Aussie outback of the 1950s - where they come from.

Just e-mail me < mfinke@frontier.com >
and this FREE fun story is yours to enjoy.

A Hollywood movie that is pro-homeschooling?  We got to go to the movie screening for Dolphin Tale.  This is a great family movie.  The main character was homeschooled,  (It's based on a true story.)   as are the two kids that play the parts.  My whole family loved it.  The movie opens in theaters this Friday.  RSVP for Homeschool Day and be entered into a Sweepstakes!  Check my post for details!
