Margaret,

Here is a website that talks about homeschooling for and exceptional child.

Homeschool support group I participate in is:

kidcultivatorsatlhomeschool.ning.com/

You can look around and see what's there for you. It's very supportive and resourceful.

Hello! Although I am not currently homeschooling my son, I am seriously considering it. My son has learning disabilities and he gets a lot of schooling at home anyway. Additionally, we may need to move and if that happens I do not want him to have the stress of starting in another district. Can anyone give me some good pros/cons or link me to some articles on this dilemma? He is entering the sixth grade and reading is his weakest subject (VERY weak) Thanks!!

Hello! I am a homeschooling mom to 9, though the youngest 3 aren't of school age yet. My biggest challenge right now is keeping the little ones content so that the older ones and I can actually get some work done, most days I end up feeling like a failure. I'm glad that summer is here and we will be having a more relaxed school day.

HI, I'm not quite a homeschooling mom yet. DS is 3.5 and I think I'm going to start him on some preschool homeschool curriculum in the fall. We are most likely homeschooling for at least the majority of elementary school. I can't wait to get advice from homeschooling moms.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the group. I have twin boys that are 5. I am homeschooling them. I really am leaning toward Raymond Moore's philosphy on homeschooling. I love being home with the boys. I had to quit my job when they came along so in order to make ends meet I started my own home business which allows me to stay home. We have so much fun. Bike riding, reading, going to the park and watching worms (they watch them, I stay away from them yuck) I am grateful for groups like this that are available for support and suggestions. Thank you all!
