Hello ladies! As I posted before I'm not quite homeschooling yet, my son just turned 1 on Sunday. But I am VERY interested in the idea, and look forward to it. I plan to keep him home until the 1st grade at which point I will probably enroll him in school. I'm looking for ideas on activities for my little boy and ways to get involved in ahomeschooling co-op. I am a christian mom and would love to meet/talk to other christin homeschooling mommies!

Hello! I'm mother to two boys, 4 and 7 yrs. We homeschool, but don't go by a cirriculum. We're the only ones among our families who homeschool. The questions and subtle bullying have settled down now. A homeschooling family happens to live next door, so that is great for my ego and wonderful for the boys too.

This year my oldest would officially begin first grade, if he was in pub school. We'll be getting a little more formal this year with learning math and reading.

Margaret,

Here is a website that talks about homeschooling for and exceptional child.

Homeschool support group I participate in is:

kidcultivatorsatlhomeschool.ning.com/

You can look around and see what's there for you. It's very supportive and resourceful.

Hello! Although I am not currently homeschooling my son, I am seriously considering it. My son has learning disabilities and he gets a lot of schooling at home anyway. Additionally, we may need to move and if that happens I do not want him to have the stress of starting in another district. Can anyone give me some good pros/cons or link me to some articles on this dilemma? He is entering the sixth grade and reading is his weakest subject (VERY weak) Thanks!!

Hello! I am a homeschooling mom to 9, though the youngest 3 aren't of school age yet. My biggest challenge right now is keeping the little ones content so that the older ones and I can actually get some work done, most days I end up feeling like a failure. I'm glad that summer is here and we will be having a more relaxed school day.
