Honest Mommy Bloggers

This group is for moms who tell it like it is. We all love our kids, but let's be real...motherhood is not always fun and games. So let's give each other permission to talk openly and honestly about the easy AND hard days we have as moms.

I survived Fall Break with the three kids. For a moment I thought they were plotting the breakdown of my sanity but I persevered. Check out my post on the survival of Fall Break. Let me know how you survived? www.tlcombest.wordpress.com

Today, Nov 1st, is a day when many of us with children on the autism spectrum are speaking out in response to a charity calling for social media silence (in solidarity with those with autism who can't communicate).

As writers, I think we all know the power of our words. Today I'm choosing not to be silent. Come read my post at http://trydefyinggravity.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/voices-carry/ and click on some of the names in the comments to read their amazing posts as well.

My post today is the first in a new series called "The B Sides" - I'm taking a break from my usual post topics to share a special memory of mine, and it's about minding your own business:

I'm a 30-something year old college student, a wife, mom, Christian, EMT, neurotic, foodie, animal-lover, an amateur blogger, and an artist wannabe. My blog is about all that stuff...or will be at some point.
I would love for you to stop by and follow (only if my blog interests you). I will be happy to check out your blogs as well!

While I was reading A Little Princess to the kids the other night, I had to explain what "boarding school" was. And they freaked. How tight knit is your family? Not sure if we're odd. . .

Today's post is about going back to man-to-man coverage after playing zone for too long. How do I reconnect with my oldest? http://trydefyinggravity.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/motherless-child/
