Honest Mommy Bloggers

This group is for moms who tell it like it is. We all love our kids, but let's be real...motherhood is not always fun and games. So let's give each other permission to talk openly and honestly about the easy AND hard days we have as moms.

Hi everyone! Just joined and I'm already loving the site! There's nothing quite like the honesty of motherhood, but if non-moms knew all we did, I bet there would be less moms! (Remember the trials of childbirth--ugh!)
Looking fwd to reading your ruminations.

Richelle - that made me laugh. I apologize I am laughing at your expense. LOL I have a daughter who is almost 3 years old and yesterday I had a moment where I turned to hubby and said, I can't do this anymore. He says do what. I said be a mom. I'm DONE! I'm getting a job and they are going into daycare I'm done. UGH It was a horrible day. Owen isn't bad he's almost 10 months old but he has NEVER slept through the night. The most he has slept is 830pm to 5am and that would have been amazing if I were smart enough to go to bed early but NOOO I stayed up until 1am because I am an idiot! LOL Today is much better, I have much more patience. Maybe it was just hormones yesterday. I do feel thankful to be at home with them, but I can't imagine how my daughter is going to be as a teen - I may need some of your help Richelle LOL

This is my experience of motherhood, as I know it. I hope to share the glory and gory of the fabulous ride that I am on in my life. I will be truthful and open, if you can benefit from my experience...even more the better! Here's to happy Mothering!

GREAT group! Thanks for promoting aggressively honest parenting. I try to do this in my blog - if you get a chance to check it out, I'd love to hear what you think, and I'm so looking forward to checking out the ones listed here.

I'm sarcastic and snyde and sometimes smarmy. I tell it like it is, because even when people are acting all 'mommier than thou' ('cause, you know, they've NEVER done anything like turn on the tv and let their kids watch ALL DAY LONG so they could surf the internet. And for SURE they've never told their kid to shut up. Perfect parents piss me off.) you know they're just full of it. I have really strong opinions. About EVERYTHING. And I'm not afraid to say it. ~wink~ Still- though I let my OWN opinions be known, I am really good at just letting other people have thiers. I know the definition of opinion. I don't have to be RIGHT. Just HEARD.

come see me!

Oh- and it's brand new- I started last night. So don't be alarmed that there's only 1 entry. There will be more.

Okay...raw honest mommy moment...avert your four year old is very annoying. She was so annoying today that if she were not mine she would have had to go home. My one year old? I wish she would still take two naps a day so I could get something done. My 12 year old girl? She is a bit boring and going through some weird preteen angst. She also thinks she is more mature than me. You know what? Seeing as how she is a 75 year old woman in a 12 year old's body, she's right! My 9 year old son? I'm sick of him taking over an hour to wash a few bowls and dishes. I am also realizing that he does have a bit of a mean streak toward his 4 year old sister. Now, I can't say I blame my two older kids for being frustarted with that little girl...UGH..glad she isn't my sister!

Okay..there ya go...that's the downside for the day. Yes, there is an upside. But I didn't come here to brag on my wonderful gifts from above. They, like everyone, have a dark side! LOL!
