I'd like to know what the most important thing is that they look for in a blogger and what might cause them to pass one blogger over for another.

If they are looking for a long term working relationship. Usually how many bloggers they look for for review one product.

About getting reviews. What do they look for, what is a good follower number, which stats do they like. :) Great hints like that.

Soapnuts giveaway on my blog three winners

soapnuts are a natural cleaning product, basically a nut from a tree, that you boil down and make into a tea, then use to clean everything, you can even use it as a mosquito repellent

Or jut throw them in the laundry, they work wonders on cloth diapers
