Just thought I would share - I received this in my email today. I already participated in the study.
Dear Moms,

We've been asked to test a another new children's pacifier that will soon be available on the market for children ages 7 months and under.

The main objective of this test is to see what share of children take this pacifier vs. what share reject it.

In addition to this pacifier, you will receive a free age-appropriate toy for your participation in this study.

If you would like to participate, please reply to this email with your mailing address and the specific age in months of your child (must be 7 months or younger).

After you receive the pacifier and have a few days to try it, we will email you the link to a survey where you can tell us your experiences with this new product.

If you do not have a child 6 to 18 months, but know moms that do, feel free to forward this email to them.

Thanks in advance for your support,

Meg Whitaker

Emmi - I have been blogging for a little over 2 years but I did not start the reviewing until about a year ago I would say. I have been lucky lately with Blog Spark but I would say that at the beginning I had to put in a lot of leg work emailing the companies that I was interested in. There were a lot of no's at first but after a while I started getting more and more yes' and then companies just started coming to me. It is a lot easier now. I think having a high Google rank (3 or above in my opinion) and a high Alexa Rank really helps Plus Twitter follower and Facebook fans are a hot commodity right now. PF people love when you have lots of those.
If you have a question about a specific product I reviewed let me know and I can see if I can help you out. Some PR people are very private and other are happy to have bloggers share their info. It just depends.

Boogie Wipes was the first company I think I ever worked with so they are pretty open. Also Smart Mom Jewelry seems open to work with bloggers as well.

Perhaps we can start a discussion on seemingly blog-friendly companies. Here are some that seem very willing to work with blogs:
Crazy Dog T-shirts
Piggy Paint
Carolina Pad
Tropical Traditions

Business 2 Blogger - A company that can help you get paid reviews or products to try out and giveaway. Here is their site.

Currently they are working on a new way of working, so they aren't doing stuff right now,. But they should be back up in a few days, or at least they said an email will be sent out in the next few days. Sign up for it though Tracy, it's great! I got two products to review and do a giveaway with. :)
