I find the B2B is mostly for the US or you have to have a few hundred views a day. I'm really not at that level!

@Emmi - I do belong to a variety of networking sites and I cold contact as well. To be honest, I have plenty of stuff to review right now. This was more an experiment than anything. My only concern with a lot of the "mommy blogger" type sites is that many products are for babies, infants, toddlers, pregnant women, and little children. Not all women who blog are mommies and not all mommies that blog have babies & infants. My kids are 12 & 16 so that eliminates many of the opportunities posted to a lot of the mom blogger sites. It's not as easy finding products for older children. I just keep on doing my thing though and taking what opportunities I can find. I hope you hear back on the three you got into.

Ellen I see what you mean, I got the email thru my iphone. The second I got it all them were filled out except for the book. But since I was not interested on the book I did not fill it out.

I'm thinking that the people who run the B2B site may be taking the opportunities they're interested in prior to making them available. So if they want 4 bloggers and there are three people who run B2B who are interested in that product, there may only be one actual real open spot. At least that's the only viable explanation I can figure out. That or there aren't really 10 or 20 spots open to begin with? I don't know. It just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense that in a matter of 2 minutes every single spot is full. In theory there should have been 58 open spots to fill in this particular issue. All gone in 2 minutes or less?

OK since I'm home today, I decided to do a little unofficial experiment. I have a cable internet connection so my internet is fairly speedy. According to the B2B website, the next email was going out this morning at 10AM. As of 9:55AM I sat & clicked inbox repeatedly to see any new mail. At 10:02AM, the B2B email arrived in my Yahoo email inbox. It was timed 10:01AM. By 10:02AM, I was clicking the 5 enclosed links to sign up. Campaign 1 required 4 bloggers and was closed by the time I clicked on it. Campaign 2 required 20 bloggers & was closed by the time I clicked on it. Campaign 3 required 10 bloggers and was closed by the time I clicked on it. Campaign 4 required 20 bloggers and I was able to apply (a book). Campaign 5 required 4 bloggers and was closed by the time I clicked on it.

The thing that amazes me the most is that Campaign 3 requested 10 bloggers in the Denver Colorado area only. How likely do you think it is that there are 10 bloggers in the Denver Colorado area that managed in two minutes to get to this link before I did?

I think the only reason I got in on this one is that book giveaways are probably the least "grabbed" opportunity out there. It's a financial book for parents to teach kids so again this limits who would be interested based on the presence of kids old enough to participate.

So, I agree, B2B does have opportunities but they are extremely hard to get. If you're not preferred & not there at exactly the moment that email arrives in your email box & you don't have a super speedy connection, don't bother.

There are days I am home all day & I see exactly when the mail arrives & click on all the links the second it arrives & they are all full. I think there are a few members that are grabbing all the opportunities at the same time. I know it's a free service & they really stress that but 95% of the mommy blogger programs that match up bloggers & companies are free so I don't see that as a real valuable excuse. I think they need to limit the # of opportunities a person can grab at the same time.

Ellen, I am a preferred member also (anyone that has the badge on their site are preferred members). I had to email them because I would be on my computer when I received the email and yet all opps were full already. I emailed them and got the same you did but persisted. They told me to check with my mail provider. I am now emailing back and forth with yahoo. They told me how to check the actual time the email was sent, which for the email I looked at it would have been yahoo's fault. But the last few days I have not gotten any emails from B2B. Now who knows who fault it is.

Katie, Business 2 Blogger has changed up their format. They send emails out at "random" times of day to make it more fair for everyone (their words, not mine). I've responded as soon as the email hit my inbox and still missed out, so I think it's fairly difficult to snag the limited spots.

To find your technorati authority you can just go to Technorati and search for your blog and there will be a green number by your blog and that is your number. If your blog is not there when you search you can create an account and then add your blog to your account. You will then need to "claim it" as yours.
