I signed up to Mom central but Mom select is only for Americans.

what would be an appropriate wording for the 'subject' line of a pitch email?

I have had great success with Blog Spark but the offer come in waves and I think they do focus a lot of traffic or the amount of readers you have. Mom Select and Mom Central have been great too. One2One has offered the least but I have received a few cds to review through them I think they are all worth signing up for.

Jennifer: Just take a look at review blogs and that will give you an idea of which companies to contact. Also, you may want to join The Product Review Place (another ning group)...there are other PR groups like One2One, Blog Spark and Mom Select. I haven't had too much luck with those however.

I send a very short letter. For instance and this is rough:

Dear so and so,

I am contacting you because I would like to review your product for my blog. I am willing to host a giveaway as well. My blog is "blah blah blah". (give some blog info like stats or demographics of your readers)

Please contact me for details on how I can promote your product through social media. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thank you for your time.

your name

Your address if you wish
Your blog URL
Your email address

Emilia: in follow up letters be clear that you only review products you have in hand and once sent they become your property. Let them know that you are willing to host a giveaway in turns gives them more exposure. Tell them you are not responsible for the handling or shipping of the giveaway prize. Most companies assume they will send it. I have only come across one so far that wanted me to send it but only offered the giveaway as an option.

Should I be clear in my letter to companies saying that I would like a product for me to keep and review and another one for them to send to my giveaway winner? ???

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has done "cold contacts" - and if so,

1) Where did you look, and
2) What kind of letter/email/correspondence did you send

I'm looking to move beyond just reviewing books, but don't know where to begin.

Thanks everyone!

Question- when you guys see a company you would like to pitch to, do you just use the 'contact us' link on their website and pitch away? Not sure the best way to go about reaching the right people and getting responses.

Hi Ladies, I am giving away 20 organic delicious dinners (there will be 20 winners total)! It will end next week! Tell a friend-you don't have to have a blog or website to win!
