I call my hubby pumpkin or baby sometimes. He knows I'm upset if I say his name when responding to a question.

I call DH 'Punk' and he calls me 'Brat'- lol. He jokes that it's only when I'm mad that I call him Honey. lol. He also calls me 'baby' a lot.

Thanks for the invite.

Spouse is such a weird word, isn't it? =P

What do you call your SO? Mine is Hubs. He calls me Wiff.

We're not perfect. But love? Yeah, we have that down pat. :)

I think anther really big problem is that people sometimes think that being in love means that you have to have good sex every night, and that you have to be all adoring and never fight.

I used to think that way. DH and I have been through several almost-seperations. i have learned that even though I don't feel giddy ALL the time, the endurance that we have as a family- the daily grind, the day-to-day chores and responsibilites we share are true love. STAYING and BEING THERE are more important than great kissing every single day.

Your comment is so on target Richele. Too many take their love for granted and then the shipwreck happens. Many don't discover the problems until it's too late. We started our website to write and reveal things that we love about each other to the world. I am working on a long list of what I love about my husband no matter how small. Thanks for your helpful comment. Stop by the website when you get a chance.

You are so right, In Love With My Spouse! Has anyone ever read The Language of Love and Respect? I reviewed the book. I always considered myself as having a strong marriage..and I do..but it was not until reading this book that I realized in little ways some things I said were disrespectful. I never thought it would be interpreted that way. It wasn't like I was insulting my husband. I asked him, and he agreed that we had a strong marriage but we were minorly engaging in the cycle the book speaks of. Now, you know that could only get worse. I could never imagine that one day I would have marital trouble. Maybe that's how it happens sometimes..overconfidence that may lead to taken the other for granted. Anyway, once enlightened to what my hsuband thought was disrespectful as opposed to just something I changed what I said a bit. Believe it or not, he responded in kind! It was so natural. We are headed back to where we started and off the path to destruction. I am so grateful I read this before any serious problems occurred.

We thank everyone who has joined. We hope to inspire those who want to keep the love alive. With the high rate of divorce in our country, marriage should be celebrated by those who cherish their love. :)
