Hi, everyone! I am a crocheter, but I am trying desperately to teach myself to knit. Learning from a book isn't necessarily the best way to do it! I'm having issues with little things and the book DOESN'T HELP!

I uploaded a picture of the cupcake hat I just finished if anyone is interested in seeing it! It was a really fun and quick project. Next time I think I'll add some tube beads for sprinkles though. Don't you just love cupcakes? :)

Michelle,
If you can knit an afghan you are definitely a knitter! I have to admit to my fear of afghans. I've crocheted a few but I have a tendency to stray away from long commitments (with yarn at least). Small, portable projects are my best bet!

Can I consider myself a knitter even though all I can make are items that are either square or rectangular? I can knit up a mean afghan; am considering branching out to scarves. Such pressure!

I knit on the loom. I admire your ability to do the needles, Mary Anna, but I'm prone to dropping stitches! You can check out my finished scarf at my blog, happilyeverafterland.typepad.com!

I'm a knitter, through and through. I've tried crochet, but I pull it too tight. But when it comes to knitting and purling, I can do it all day long. I just started a blanket for a friend who's having a baby in October!
