Hi Connie, you weren't really talking to me lol, but I'd like to get some tips on how to earn some money blogging. Can you share some please. Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

I'm not sure what you mean by "back out with the url" sorry :) Using a hyperlink looks more professional and again it helps with link juice.

Oh wait, do you mean link to the site the same way? Yes, the linking is the same. I know that I read a better explanation of why to use a hyperlink somewhere. I'll try to do some research and get back with you about it.

If you're writing for TypeAMom.net, you are in a good bunch of company there! There's a lot of experts, much more qualified than I am. Still, happy to help out....

oops, I just saw the hyperlink button above. Typical...right as I was sending the below comment.

But, how is this mechanism different from the url as a link? Can you not back out with the url link as you can with the button?

Thx
Lisa

Hi Connie,

Thanks so much for checking out my blog and giving me feedback already! I love it! I am so inspired as I get comments from other mom bloggers but my time is so limited that it is a bit frustrating too...

So, how do I use the hyperlink button? When I write my articles for typeamom.net and update my supermom blog, there is a hyperlink button, but I don't see it here. How do you do that here...? Do I sound like a real novice or what?! ;)

As to what I am looking for in my blogging - I do it for pleasure, but I would like to earn money too. So, I am trying to increase traffic and like your suggestions to Lyndsey. I have started realizing that spreading the word online is the best way to go, even if my site has "local" flavor to it.

Hi Lisa,

Your blog looks great and reads very well. I'm on Wordpress so not really able to help much with Blogger. One thing I would suggest is instead of posting your links as links, to hyperlink them. In other words, instead of showing your blog name as http://supermomstop.blogspot.com/ link it by using the Hyperlink button so it looks like this: Super Mom Stop. That helps you to get linkage going out and coming in to your blog.

If you read my message to Lyndsey that gives some advice on getting traffic.

Are you looking to earn money from blogging, write product reviews, or write for pleasure? I'm willing to help you further if I know what you're wanting to do.

Keep on blogging!

Hi Lyndsey,

Welcome to blogging! I'd love to see your blog, so if you can leave a link, that would be great.

To get traffic, one of the 1st things I'd suggest is commenting on other blogs with meaningful comments, joining Twitter, staying involved here so you can meet other bloggers and putting the link to your blog everywhere (your email signature, forums, on your Twitter profile, etc.)

Hope that gives you a start!

Hi everyone,
I am sort of new to blogging. The idea of my blog has been around since 2005 but I was first thinking of doing a portal-like resource site and then with lots of bumps in the road (including a business partner who dropped out), I decided to just start my idea with a blog site. I don't have a lot of time as I work PT and have 2 kids. But, I love it working on my blog and networking with others to get good ideas. I would love any advice, tips etc. The only caveat: I am somewhat limited in the format, features of my site as it is through blogger.com and is a standardized template. But, I would love any feedback to take my blog to the next level. supermomstop.blogspot.com! Thanks! Lisa

Hi! I started just 2 days ago. Overwhelmed by all there is to know and the many ways to use a blog. Decided to just start with writing and go from there. Am a professional face painter and have an etsy art shop, and eventually I'd like to use it from promoting my businesses. For now, would just like to know what I'm doing. Any advice/critiques would be welcome.
