Hi Everyone... Care to help out a fellow Midwest blogger? (Iowa, to be exact!)

I've been selected as a finalist in HighTechDad's giveaway of an HP TouchSmart 600. I'm totally giddy, totally shocked. But here's the clincher. The winner will be determined by popular vote.

So here I am... begging for votes. The voting only goes until Thursday at Noon (Pacific Time) and the person with the most votes at that time wins. Period.

It only takes a second to vote and you'll be doing it for a fellow blogger. Please? Pretty Please?
I'm #7 (SahmReviews) and here's the link: http://hightechdad.com/htdhpv

Please visit our blog and leave a comment on our Cans of formula for Comments post: http://www.bormanntwins.blogspot.com/

For each comment this post receives from now through November 30, we will be donating 2 ounces of baby formula, which is about equivalent to two 6 fluid ounce bottles. (most babies' bottles range from 1-8 oz of fluid depending on their age)

Here's what inspired me to do this....

I have been seeing other bloggers share their generosity by doing "cans for comments" postings and I thought it was a really cool idea, which got me thinking about what more I can do to help others.

This also reminded me of a news story I heard about a year ago that really bothered me. The story was about a baby who had passed away because the mom had been struggling financially so she was trying to stretch out her supply of formula by adding more water to the bottles than the recommended amount. After a period of time this made the baby ill. The boys were just newborns at the time and I was in that phase where all I did was mix bottles and feed babies and the story just made me sick to my stomach. But reminded me how fortunate we are to able to afford to feed our children.

Between work and the boys, I don't have much time to get out and volunteer so I thought this would be a really fun way to help others out and nothing breaks my heart more than the thought of hungry babies out there.

All you have to do to help is leave a comment. I will be sure to post some pictures after we buy the formula and donate it. (donations will most likely go to a local food shelter, but I will do some research on what organizations are in the area in the next couple weeks)

Thanks for your support!
