Yesterday, I got a call from school. My son had been targeted and bullied. This isn't the first time, probably not the last -- all because he's different.

Anyone else dealing with this? I'm still reeling.

If any of your children have to occasionally spend time in the hospital I'd love to hear how you deal with your children left at home. I'm thinking about putting together a little blog-post series about it.

Hello All,

Because I find myself wallowing in all the bad stuff that goes along with having special needs kids, I just instituted Thankful Thursday on my blog. I plan to list all the good stuff at least once a week, so I can gain some balance.

If anyone else would like to comment with there own positives, I'd love it. We've been going through such a rough go of it lately, it would be downright inspirational. Thanks!

The house version of the health care bill actually contains the word "retarded". We need to contact our congressman to complain about this. This cannot be allowed to stand. That word should not be written into our laws.
