Hi everyone!! I actually have like 2 blogs and 1 journal. The first (www.lisachampagne-miner.blogspot.com ) follows our family as a whole. The second (www.fortheloveofkody.blogspot.com ) follows our son as does ( www.caringbridge.org/visit/kodychampagne ) and his illness Friedreich's Ataxia. This is a progressive, denegerative, neuromuscular / peripheral nerve disorder. This has caused the secondary condition Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy which is what is fatal in kids with FA. By blogging this gives me an outlet of sorts.

I am new to this group, but feel I might have something to offer those who have kids with reading disabilities or dyslexia. My rhyming book, "Horatio Humble beats the Big D," offers encouragement to child and parent alike. Early diagnosis is key to raising dyslectic children who learns to read - even if it means some classes and help at school. The included parent/teacher guide offers diagnostic guidance + links to more serious help.
Read "Horatio Humble" to a child who has trouble reading. If Horatio can triumph, so can your child.
