I am new to this group, but feel I might have something to offer those who have kids with reading disabilities or dyslexia. My rhyming book, "Horatio Humble beats the Big D," offers encouragement to child and parent alike. Early diagnosis is key to raising dyslectic children who learns to read - even if it means some classes and help at school. The included parent/teacher guide offers diagnostic guidance + links to more serious help.
Read "Horatio Humble" to a child who has trouble reading. If Horatio can triumph, so can your child.

Today, Nov 1st, is a day when many of us with children on the autism spectrum are speaking out in response to a charity calling for social media silence (in solidarity with those with autism who can't communicate).

Today I'm choosing not to be silent. Come read my post at http://trydefyinggravity.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/voices-carry/ and click on some of the names in the comments to read their amazing posts as well.
