How do you cope when you are at the end of your rope with your kids? I wrote a post this morning called "How Not To Hurt Your Kids".It's something I think we should all be talking with each other about. When make mistakes, how do we do better the next time? I have some ideas. Please feel free to leave your idea or ideas in the comments!

Still waiting, but something awesome happened recently. Not a big deal for parents of typically developing kiddos. But for us, it's huge :) You can read about it here...

If any of you think your child would enjoy a simple, short time-travel adventure e-book,  in easy to open and read PDF, I have just the thing FREE.

I put characters from my 3 latest books into a fun adventure. Two of them must help Taconi and Claude find their way back to the Aussie outback of the 1950s - where they come from.

Just e-mail me < >
and this FREE fun story is yours to enjoy.

Jen, you have been doubly blessed.  My research shows that Downs children are especially loving and gentle.  I hope you can connect here with others who have Downs kids, and share the joys, problems and solutions.  Hugs to both your little darlings.

Kim, none of my children had any of the symptoms you mention.  However, I hope you find others you can network with about this.  Finding other parents with similar child problems you can share information with can be a great help and comfort.  I wish you luck, mate.  And hug your dear son for me.  Sounds like he has a terrific Mom.

Hi. I am new to the group and new to the site as well. My five year old son is diagnosed with SPD. He had an autism screening about two years ago and we were told he was not on the spectrum, but does have many sensory issues, especially with the vestibular sense. Two years later I still see many signs that lead me to think Asperger's though. I would love to connect with anyone who has a child dx'd with SPD not related to autism. (i love to connect with mom's of  kids with autism too, i am just looking for perspective from someone who has a child with the same dx as mine)
