Do you consider your blog a business or do you use your blog to promote another business? Also, for those of you who run your blog as a business, at what point did you get a business license, etc?

I promote my business I am an independent consultant for thirty one gifts. no license. I also will post parts of my personal life.  you have to touch fans and customers on a personal level, I dont want to force my busniess on them.
