The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

I'm 45 with 3 children: 13, 11 & 8. I've been reading mommy blogs for a while and have noticed that they're chiefly written by 20 or 30-somethings with babies/toddlers.While it's fun to reminisce, I find little that relates to what I'm currently experiencing. IRL, most women I know in their 40's have teen/adult children. I've been looking for woman more my age with school-aged kids. I'm thrilled to find a group of fabulous women over 40 who blog! I recently started my own blog and look forward to reading yours.

I'm 48 and have a daughter 6 and son 10. I started my blog www.themamapause.blogspot.com to connect with other women juggling mood swings, playdates, hot flashes and happy meals. Pay me a visit and let me know what you think.

Hi, Some of you may know me from Comment Club 3. I'm 46 and SAHM to 2 boys Josh,11 and Rodney 9. Being mom to young kids means knowing Johanssen is Squidward Tentacles' middle name and battling aliens on PS3. Being 40 means reading labels on cereal boxes at least a foot away and not remembering what I ate this morning.

Sometimes when I see the discussions here about breast feeding, hair pulling, diaper rash etc, I feel guilty because I am so grateful to be done with all of that stuff.

I just turned 43; I have a daughter who's almost 4 and a son who's 8. I am tired all the time, who knows if it's because I'm an older mom of younger ones and they keep me running around, or the hormones, or a combo of both.
But to be honest, this has been a great decade so far; I don't care so much what others think anymore, and feel more comfortable in my own skin. Looking forward to meeting you other over 40 hot mamas LOL!

Hi Ladies! I am new here. I am 43 and have 3 kiddos - ages 8, 5 and 21 months. Being an older mom means I get tired a little faster, but I have the coolest iPod and can play a mean game of Lego Star Wars on Wii. I am never sure if my kids keep my young or are going to send me to an early grave!
