Thanks so much Cynthia.  I have never had a moment's regret about being a "mature" mother.  I was smarter, wiser, had more patience and was more financially secure than I ever was when younger.  I married late, so had to hustle if I wanted kids.

Margot, I love your August 9th comments about having your last baby at 40 and you didn't care about the looks you got because you were thrilled to have your "baby boy!"  As they say today, "You Rock Margot!"

WOW, 40 seems to be the age of choice for later baby making.  And why not.

Hi, I'm a newbie blogger and to the group.  I had my daughter a month after I turned 40. I def don't feel my age or act it - it keeps me young. My little one is now 19 months and chasing after her and four dogs is keeping me even younger.  You can see my crew here:

MJB, enjoy your little toddler.  I had my last baby (a boy) at age 40.  In those days it was considered old to be having a baby, and people in the hospital gave me second looks.  I didn't care - I was thrilled to have a healthy boy after two girls.   And older moms usually have more financial stability, are wiser, and are more patient.   I have never regretted being an older Mum.

Hi Ciao, I'm glad you found this group, too. Your blog adds humor to my day. I'm now following you. Margot, I couldn't agree more with your comments. I certainly appreciate the Man (my dear hubby) in my life! I think I'll post the "advanced maternal age" question as a discussion.
