Today is the launch of FPM's three week awareness campaign to dispel stigma regarding later life motherhood. The numbers of over-40 mothers are escalating in industrialized countries all over the world. It's a 'mother' of an evolution. Spread the word. http://flowerpowermom.com/wordpress/?p=1443

Hi ladies! I really give you all credit. As you can see from my little pic that my baby is all grown up. There should be no stigma with a woman having a child after forty. I guess the idea that women should get married and have children eariler in life is still around. I think if my circumstances were right I would definately have another child.I love every moment of being a mom. I'm divorced and also 49 going on 50. I'm right now working on thinking about me. Go check out my blog and if you want to root me on it would be great.

Why are mothers over 40 more paranoid about baby and child safety? Because they've been around long enough to know that things can, and DO, go wrong. FPM interviewed Child Safety Expert, Debra Holtzman. Main site: http://www.flowerpowermom.com Link to this blog: http://flowerpowermom.com/wordpress/?p=1338
