Hi everyone! I am not a recovering Mama, but my sister is. I just wanted to say hi and tell each and every one of you how strong and brave you are. My sister has been clean for almost 8 years now and her children were really her force to help her  find a path to recovery. She doesn't have a blog, but she constantly writes in her journal when she is feeling down or the need to use. I don't know personally how hard it is, but I watched her attempt to get sober all through my childhood, for about 10 years, and have seen how difficult it can be. I just wanted to wish all of you well and if you never need to just talk to someone, feel free to write me, chat, etc! Take care and have a great weekend!

Thanks for the shout out on my comment section. I have not become really active over here yet. I have been sober for 4 years from alcohol and prescription drugs. Xanax like ativan was one of my biggest problems in the end. I think sharing on your blog is a leap of faith, I have kept it pretty general but yet talk about recovery more and more. Good luck and keep reaching out. It's a journey not to be traveled alone....

here is my blog address.....I started it last month, so I am new to it and have yet to share my "story" but I will soon. Most of my close friends and family know about my addiction to alcohol and Ativan...but I'm not ready quite yet to put it on my blog. I'm feeling the itch and it's going to make it there soon. I am reaching out and hoping to connect w/ other moms that have gone through or are going through what I did. It's no fun to have this disease and if I can help others and show that they are not alone in this.....I'm happy!!

Take it one day at a time...and know you are not alone.

XOXO~Erica
