Comment by Kimberly Dana on March 9, 2012 at 5:32pm Hi Everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kimberly and I write books for children, tweens, and teens. My picture book, Pretty Dolls, just won Best Children's Book of the Year by Reader Views so I'm super excited. But I also joined this group because I want to learn what other moms (and kids) are reading and writing. Cheers and Happy Reading! P.S. - I'm doing a Book Giveaway on Goodreads if you are interested.

I love this group! My writing partner and I just sent a publisher a manuscript we wrote-- it's the first in a series of books about our irrepressible heroine and her mom. We created a world where a little girl can have all of her feelings-- anger, joy, wonderment, passion-- and be supported by her parents. She isn't taught that being "nice" or having people like her is THE most important thing. The most important thing is being true to herself and having her voice. I am so happy to be on this board!! I love children's books.
