My latest book, Pink is Just a Color and so is Blue will be available on Amazon.com 1st week of October.   Why do we pigeon whole our kids into gender specific toys and colors.  Let kids be kids. Let them play, explore and learn.  Toys are just a means of exploring the world around the.

Every Monday my co-blogger and I have a "Read to Me Monday" and review a new children's book. We'd love to have you along for the journey. Mudpies & Melodies also posts about parenting (we're both mothers of 2) and the other odds and ends of life.

I am looking for contributors for my blog relaunch in September. Many of you have a niche in different subjects.  It doesn't have to be from the perspective of a single parent. Stop by and see what I am looking for.  I would love to work with you. http://thesexysinglemommy.blogspot.com/2012/08/contributors-wanted....

Dear Mom Bloggers,

I recently started a children's book publishing venture that I'm trying to promote. Please check out my website www.thehouseoftales.com and follow me on FB/twitter. I'd love to get to know some of you!

I'm looking for book reviewers/guest blog hosts too, so if anyone's interested please holler!

Hello! New to MBC and the group. Homeschooling 5 kiddos, we read a lot at our house! Working our way through Newbery books, a little at a time of course, and hoping my 2nd and 4th graders can still get in some of the great picture books they missed while keeping up with age-appropriate lit as well. And, though I love classics and mysteries most of all, I must admit to enjoying YA especially of the fantasy genre. Can't help it! And a Kindle freebie addict all-around. Looks like I'll fit right in, eh? LOL Can't wait to meet you all, and thanks for having me!
