I just added a beautiful non-fiction book giveaway. It is a beautiful hard cover book about the 1963 Birmingham Children's March.

We've Got a Job by Cynthia Levinson.

Even if you don't enter the giveaway, you and your child should definitely read this book. This was my highest reviewed book on my blog in the last year.

Sonya, what a shame.  I am so sorry - and for the poor publisher too.  You sound determined and up-beat - two things every writer needs!!   Good luck with your future book publishing. Just make sure you research them carefully.  There are a lot of scammers out there waiting to grab your money.

Hi,

I just joined this group. I wrote a children's story for my daughter but before it was published the publisher died and I lost my investment. I still am planning on self-publishing it as soon as I get enough money. My favorite author is Lauren Child and Eric Carle. I have been to the Eric Carle Museum many times. I also plan on publishing a line of kids novelty books too. I am looking forward to all the connections in the industry and withe similar interests that I can get.

awesome so glad to be a part of this group...new to MBC! I love children's books and writing-  Here is a link to a story that I wrote with 2/3 of my kids and won a national writing contest and was selected by Robert Munsch as the winner.  It was an amazing experience and actually turned out to be the birth of our blog.  http://growinguptoronto.blogspot.com/2011/03/found.html
