Hi everyone!

Just joined MBC today. I recently became a birth junkie after the amazing birth of my daughter in June.

We had an unmedicated hospital birth with a midwife and it was a wonderful and empowering experience. My labor was short, sweet, intense, and to the point! I really would like to be a doula one day b/c of such an empowering experience. I want to support other women while they achieve the birth(s) they hope for!

Just joined, and I'm proud to say that I had a completely natural childbirth with my daughter nearly 2 years ago.

Feel free to check out my blog for a wonderful new giveaway for new moms or expecting moms... or a great gift!

I had two home births. They were both wonderful experiences and I had a wonderful midwife. I did pregnancy yoga too!

Hi mamas!

I had my son on July 5, 2009 in a freestanding birth center. It was such a great experience and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Labor started at around 6am, I stayed home until I went to get checked at 1:30pm. I thought for sure I was going to get sent home, but I was 5cm! I went to my room (with a nice tub and queen sized bed) and walked around then eventually got in the water. Labor was really easy until I had her break my water at 6:45pm, I was 8cm at that point. Contractions didn't seem to stop at that point and the tub wasn't helping too much anymore. I was having back labor and it hurt a bit. I finally got on the birth stool and started pushing, an hour and a half after I started pushing my son was born at 10:52pm.
He's the most perfect baby ever! If I have another one I want to have a homebirth

Hello everyone,

Adventures of a Somewhat Crunchy Mama just did a series of guest blogs about birth options. Since I have 7 children delivered through everything from an emergency cesarean with my first to 2 homebirths she asked me to write the wrap-up post.

I'd be thrilled to get feedback or questions.

Susan
