I feel very all over the place with my blogging and Tweeting, and getting no where fast. I feel the need to organize myself somehow. I know there are websites that help with this (like SocialOoomph I believe it's called) but even that seems like it takes time to learn. I'm pretty overwhelmed right now.
So I guess I'm asking about how others go about their "job" of blogging? For me I want blogging to be my job so I do take it seriously and want it to succeed. I want to help make money for my family through my blog, so getting organized and planning things out is how I think I need to go about doing this, but how?! Any tips? Same goes for Tweeting tips!
I'd say if you want to make some money, you'll absolutely need to do at least some planning. I'd grab a big calendar and start putting topics in on various days. Hopefully the calendar itself will inspire you -- posts about holidays, seasons, etc.
I do take it seriously. Each day I start a post and save it as a draft. By the end of the day I will have it set up the way I want it and make sure that everything is spelled correctly. Very few times will I just write something random and they are usually personal posts.

I will say that my husband brought home a notebook from work last night for me to write down my thoughts in. He ended up bringing home a project planning notebook that has boxes at the top for the project name, date, ect. It also has a to-do column on the left and numbered lines on the right. I wasn't sure about it at first, but this morning I've been been writing my one idea for a post at the top and then all my thoughts about that subject under it and now I can't stop! I have come up with a use for all the little boxes at the top and I think I may have started a way for getting my thoughts out and keeping them in-order for if I want to link my posts or do a series. I will need to put these on a calendar though to see them start coming to life and and to stick to doing something every day.
Ashley - I like how you start a draft in the mornings and keep working on throughout the day. I will try that for each day of what I have planning on my calendar.
